We had a data viz hack day at the Bristol hackspace for cursivedata. We really enjoyed the day and looking back on it I think we got a lot done!
One of the participants, Helen White came with the idea to use solar wind speed data. During the morning we sketched out a lot of ideas for representing data, and then in the afternoon we wrote the code for the pattern generators. Here’s what we came up with for showing solar wind speed:
